Developmental Disabilities Waiver (DD)

The Developmental Disabilities Waiver (DD) provides a safe home and community activities for people who need assistance from others 24 hours a day. Residential settings can range from living with a paid caregiver, family caregiver, rotating staff, or private apartment with caregivers checking in. The right residential setting is chosen based on the person’s preference and medical or behavioral needs.

 

There is a waitlist for this waiver.

Who is eligible for services?

To be eligible for the DD waiver you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have a Developmental Disability Determination from a Case Management Agency

  • Need support with activities of daily living

  • Have Long Term Care Medicaid

  • Meet the Social Security Disability definition & financial requirements for Colorado Medicaid
