Children's Habilitation Residential Program Waiver (CHRP)
The Children's Habilitation Residential Program Waiver (CHRP) waiver is for children whose intensive behavioral or medical needs put them at risk or in need of out-of-home placement. CHRP helps children up to age 20 stay in the community and access support to prevent crisis or institutionalization.

Children who receive services through the CHRP waiver are also eligible for all Health First Colorado covered services as long as they are not duplicative.

Who is eligible for services?
To be eligible for the CHRP waiver your child must:

Be under the age of 21
-
Have a Developmental Disability Determination
-
Need support with activities of daily living
-
Have medical or behavioral needs that put them at risk of out of home placement
-
Have a condition which meets the Social Security disability standard
-
Meet the waiver financial requirements
